Hello UROC,
The November 25th, 2023 UROC Sport Launch is a GO!!!!
The weather does NOT look perfect. There is about 2in of precipitation expected at the launch site Thursday into Friday am. In addition, depending on the time of day, the cloud cover looks to be around 50-75%. The long term forecast isn't for much better on 12/2 and we're doing everything we can to get one last launch in this year.
WARNING:
1) It could get muddy. The day looks pretty cold so we'll hope that the ground stays pretty frozen. Please dress appropriately for the cold and wear boots that can get muddy. Just in case.
2) We can NOT fly HPR if there is over 50% cloud cover. We can NOT purposefully/knowingly fly rockets into clouds.
The UROC Officers will do their best to get everything launched they can while conducting a safe and fun launch.
Please remember to bring your UROC Membership and NAR/TRA Membership to the launch. We will be checking for current membership of both during RSO inspection.
